When I was…. By Andrea Rana

When I was…. By Andrea Rana

When I was one,
Mum loved me a ton.

When I was two,
Mum taught me who’s who.

When I was three,
Mum and I climbed up a small tree and I hurt my knee.

When I was four,
Mum and I went to the store, that was our weekly chore.

When I was five,
Mum and I went for a drive and Dad taught us how to jive.

When I was six,
I put on Mum’s lipstick.

When I was seven,
Mum told me how Jesus ascended into heaven.

Now I am eight, and I no longer write on a slate,
Mum takes me to ice-skate,

Life with Mum and Dad is just great.
