The Good Samaritan and Fratelli Tutti

 

This is my poster on the good samaritan and the papal letter ¨Fratelli Tutti¨. The good samaritan teaches us valueable lessons on how to care for others. Fratelli Tutti is a message form the Pope to love one another and break barriers. 

Review on the movie Hop

     Hop

Introduction:

The movie Hop is a lovely computer-animated and live action film which

I loved watching with my family. Itś about an Easter bunny who owns an

Easter factory and supplies Easter goodies to children all over the world.

Plot:

There was an Easter bunny named E.B. (Easter Bunny). His biggest dream

was to play the drums and to be in a band. His father wanted him to take

over the Easter factory at Easter Island but E.B. had other plans and dreams. 

One night Eve escaped Easter Island and went to Hollywood. There he

met a man named Fred who had no job and did not take life seriously.

Fred´s car banged E.B. and E.B. pretended to be injured and forced

Fred to take him in with him. 

E.B.ś father found E.B. missing and was worried about him and sent

his royal guards, the Pink Berets to search for E.B. E.B. saw the Pink

Berets closing in on him. He hides inside an office where Fred is having

a job interview. In one of the rooms, E.B. enjoys a good recording session

with a band of blind men as their substitute drummer but he spoils Fred’s

job interview. In the process E.B. gets a tip about an audition with a man

called David Hasselhoff who invites E.B. to perform on his show.

Later Fred attends his younger sister’s school Easter show. E.B.

disrupts the show and Fred and E.B. perform a song. “I want candy”.

It was then that Fred got inspired to be the Easter Bunny himself. E.B.

agrees to train Fred and finds that Fred has good talent to be an

Easter Bunny. 

In the meantime, Carlos the chicken who is the Easter bunny

(E.B.ś fathers) second-in-command makes a plot against E.B’s

father to take over Easter Island but Carlos doesn't have the

qualities that an Easter bunny needs.

By now the Pink Berets close in on E.B. but E.B. fools the royal guards

by faking his death and leaves for the Hasselhoff show. The Berets

capture Fred and take him to Easter land and tell E.B’s father and

Carlos that Fred killed E.B. Carlos pretends to be upset about E.B’s

death and he does not allow Fred to speak the truth. Carlos takes

control of the Easter factory and ties up Fred and E.B’s father and

places them in a pot to be boiled alive.

Meanwhile E.B. starts to feel guilty for acting selfish and leaving

Fred alone at home. Hasselhoff tells E.B. to go back and help his

friend Fred. E.B. discovers that the Pink Berets took Fred to Easter

Island and so he hurries back to the Easter Factory and saves the day.

He defeats Carlos and saves Fred and his father.

E.B. and his father reconcile and he and Fred are crowned co-Easter

bunnies while Carlos was forced to pull the Easter Egg sleigh.  

Review:

I enjoyed watching Hop because it was colourful and full of life and wonder.

It was not so funny and I think the producers could have have used a little

more imagination and a little more story line.

This is my review on Hop. It was fun to watch Hop. You could watch it one day. Also do not forget to have popcorn whilst watching.

Sam packed his towel, hat, a bucket and spade into a yellow backpack. He is already wearing his bathers, they are blue with little red crabs all over them. Mum is helping to rub the sunscreen on Sam’s back. Sunscreen is very important because today is beach day. Sam can hardly wait to play in the sand and go swimming. Do you like going to the beach ?  

I learned how to proofread and edit a document. I did it with the three short pasaages above.

I learnt what is figurative language. You can use this in your writing and speaking to make it more interesting, fun and enjoyable.

Place Value

 

On Friday the 17th September my class did Place Value with our teacher Miss Paton. We learnt how many tens are there in numbers.

Abominable

                      Abominable

Abominable is a family movie. It is computer animated. It is a fun movie to watch with your friends and family. The movie is about a young girl named Yi who finds it difficult to connect with her mother and grandmother after her father’s death. Yi was very hard working. She made little money by doing odd jobs and was collecting all that money so that she could go to all the places that her father wanted her to see. 

One day Yi finds a young Yeti on the roof of her apartment building in Shanghai. Yi makes friends with the Yeti and embarks on a quest to reunite the Yeti with his family at Mount Everest. Her two mischievous friends Jin and Peng joined her in this quest. In this quest, the trio needed to stay one step ahead of a rich man and a zoologist who wanted to capture the Yeti for their own gain.

Yi had an exciting adventure with her friends Jin, Peng and the Yeti on their journey to Mount Everest. The Yeti made sounds and called on nature several times to help them during the journey. Yi played the violin when she felt lonely and remembered her father. 

At the end Yi was successful in reuniting the Yeti with his family.

This movie teaches us to persevere and move ahead in life against all odds to achieve our goals. When the going gets tough, we must not give up but keep moving forward.

My rating on Abominable is 4 out of 5 stars. It was fun to see the Yeti reunite with his family. This movie has good family values.

I enjoyed doing this science experiment. I used the flowers from my garden and the food colours from my mumś kitchen. It was fun watching the flowers change colours.
