ENGLISH RETELLING THE THREE BEARS

ENGLISH RETELLING

THE THREE BEARS

Once upon a time there were three bears living in a forest, father bear, mother bear and baby bear. They always had porridge for breakfast. One day the porridge was very hot so the three bears decided to go for a walk.

That day Goldilocks was walking in the forest and she saw the bears’ cottage. She peeped inside and came in through the open window. She tasted the porridge from each of the three bowls and said;

“This porridge is too salty!”

“This porridge is too sweet!”

 “This porridge is just right!”

Goldilocks ate all the porridge from the third bowl.

Goldilocks was tired and wanted to sit down. She saw three chairs and tried sitting on each of the chairs and said

“This chair is too hard!” and she jumped off.

“This chair is too soft!” and she got stuck.

 “This chair is just right!” and she sat on it but it broke.

Goldilocks was extremely tired now. She went upstairs and saw three beds. She tried sleeping on each of the beds and said;

“This bed is too high!” and she jumped off.

“This bed is too low!” and she went to the next bed.

 “This bed is just right!” and she fell fast asleep.

Soon, the three bears came home.

“Someone's been eating my porridge!” said father bear.

“Someone's been eating my porridge!” said mother bear.

“Someone's been eating my porridge!” and it's all gone, said baby bear.

Then the three bears looked at their chairs

“Someone's been sitting on my chair!” said father bear.

“Someone's been sitting on my chair!” said mother bear.

“Someone's been sitting on my chair and it's broken!” cried baby bear.

All three bears marched upstairs.

“Someone's been sleeping in my bed!” said father bear.

“Someone's been sleeping in my bed!” said mother bear.

“Someone's been sleeping in my bed and she's still there!” said the baby bear.

Goldilocks woke up with all the noise and she saw the three bears. “Help!” she cried. She ran downstairs and into the forest. She never came back again. And the three bears never left their window open again when they went for a walk in the forest.
