How to make a cup of tea
Description : I have been learning to sequence and order instructions. I had to highlight the action verbs. Action verbs are used at the start of instructions. Here is my sequencing and ordering of instructions.
How to make a cup of tea
Ingredients
¾ cup water
1 Tea Bag
Sugar (optional)
1 teaspoon Milk (optional)
Method
Fill the kettle up with water
Turn the kettle on and wait for the water to boil
Pour the hot water into the cup
Dunk the tea bag with a spoon
Wait for the tea bag to change colour
Pour the milk into the cup (optional)
Add a spoonful of sugar and stir (optional)

Ingredients
- 125g butter, softened
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup Edmonds standard flour
- 2 tsp Edmonds baking powder
Method
- Preheat the oven to 190ºC. Put 12 paper cupcake cases into a
- standard 12-hole muffin tin.
- Cream the butter, vanilla essence and sugar together until
- light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each
- addition.
- Sift the flour and baking powder together and fold gently into the
- creamed mixture. Lastly stir in the milk.
Spoon the mixture into the paper cases and bake for
- 15 minutes or until the cakes spring back when lightly touched.
